Description and details
I've upgraded to the Windows 7 release candidate (rev 7600), and I'm finding that DirectFolders' availability is sporadic. You can't double-click in an Explorer window to bring up the folder list, and in quite a few applications (e.g., Excel and Adobe Illustrator), you get the yellow DF window above the Open/Save panel, but can't bring up the folder list.

I've also seen several cases (and I'm afraid I didn't take careful note of the context) in which the DF folder menu came up, but selecting a folder did not navigate to that folder.

On the other hand, DF does seem to work fine in some cases.
How to reproduce
Double-click in Windows 7 Explorer window
Double-click in Illustrator Open panel
Double-click in Excel Open panel

Problems in Windows 7
Posted by Guest user (guest),  Feb 27, 03:30
In many Open/Close windows double click is not open DirectFoldres or it is need enlarge window to find area where doubleclick will work. Middle click is not suitable because in modern mouses it added to scroll ring, so it is problem to make it accuracy. In most cases the only decision - keyboard shortcuts but they need second hand...

There is another workaround: Use the middle click oft the mouse. This works in Windows 7 explorer and most of the other applications.

I hope these issues will receive some attention now that Windows 7 will soon be the mainstream Windows release. Thanks again for this great utility.
Used to it? I'm downright addicted!

It's a little strange that this hasn't been reviewed yet... Is this bug database just to throw us off the scent?

I agree with the above, the only work around for those applications is to use the hotkey
