If I disable teracopy as default file copier, the exe files copy and stay the same size.
If Teracpy is used, EVERY exe file changes size. Other files are ok. Looking at the source and destination using a binary file comparison tool shos that the EDN of every exe file has some garbage attched which varies in size depending on the size of the exe file copied. Small ones get a few hundred bytes whereby a 51mb file garnered a whopping 3600 extra bytes!!!
Unacceptable for use this way. I googled and found that a few others are having this same anomaly.
I'd consider buying your product, but it has to work correctly first. I'll be happy to answer any and all questions to help resolve. windows XP PRO SP2. 1.25gb ram, AMD 64 3200 cpu 2.0 ghz
I've got screen shots of source and destination windos, and compare utility begginning and end of file
shots if you want them. YOUR SYSTEM WON'T ALLOW ME TO ATTACH MY SCREEN SHOTS. THEY ARE 249K EACH - QUANTITY 3. WON'T ACCEPT EVEN ONE "COMPARE1.JPG"
Enter the new description here, and press "Save" when you are finished.
How to reproduce
I have ben copying files from hard disk "C" to flash drives "J". Can copy just one if it's sizable enough, say 18 meg and destination size as changed. Doen't do it with windows copy.
Fixed

TeraCopy is unable to crop file to original size under PCTools Threatfire protection. Stupid program keeps blocking the file. Please turn on new "Use system write cache" option.
Have you tested?

I'd like to ask bug sufferers have you ever tried this on your system with TeraCopy "Test" feature on? Does hashes match even the file size differs? They shouldn't be, yet this might help a bit for identification of the bug IMHO...
Teracopy 2.x has same trouble but I've found out why - ADITIONAL TROUBles

i DIDN'T PAY ATTENTION TO THIS ANOMALY LAST TIME SINCE I WAS MORE CONCERNED WITH THE EXE FILE SIZE CHANGE, BUT THE OTHER PROBLEM WHICH 2.0 HAS AS WELL IS THAT WHEN MANY FILES ARE MOVED, IT OFTEN LEAVES QUITE A FEW IN THE SOURCE DIRECTORY AREA.
I moved about 2gb and it left about 20 meg behind in sporadic subdirectories. 1st time it was from my local hard disk to flash and it left some. 2nd time today I was transferring from one network folder to a folder on a nother server and it left the 20mb mentioned above. I had to use my directory file compare (beyond compare 3.0) to move the files so they ended up in the correct spot and clean up the mess.

I had previously un-installed 1.2 version yesterday. Today I installed 2.0 verison. Same trouble. I disabled the F-protect AV onsle and turned off the service in services.msc. Same trouble. I am also using PCTools Threatfire Anti-malware - suspending it's protection DID allow Teracopy to successfully copy files without alteration.
Threatfire is a program hat many are installing to protect theri pc's due to it's andvanced hueristic ability to prevent infections. I am suggestin you look into this. I will not use Teracopy or reccomend it for my lients nless this is corrected.
