Description and details

I have this odd situation where I'm watching a video on VLC (http://www.videolan.org/vlc/) and using Firefox browser to download a program (it's not dependent on download type). When I change the path in the Save dialog, all of a sudden, the video playing in VLC stops.

I can easily reproduce the issue. I'm just not quite how this can happen.

How to reproduce

1.) Play a video in VLC (I have version 1.0.2)
2.) Go to a browser and attempt to save anything from a website (e.g., *.exe, *.jpg)
3.) Change the path in the Save dialog to any of the preset paths.
4.) Video playing in VLC should stop.
