Got the same Access Violation details as in the posted screen grab.
This is with DF V. 3.8 that I've been using for many months without an issue.

The only system change, after which I got the access violation whenever I try to activate DF was the installation of the March 2018 Security KB by Microsoft. I can list the ones I installed if developer is interested.

My system is WIN7 SP1 32 bit.

Same issue here, new install (yesterday) on Windows 10 64bit v1803. Also have found two additional issues (one crash, one "Error onTimer", which I will log separately.

Same issues for computers with SSD hard drives, but NOT on computers with regular hard drives. All computers are running on regularly updated Windows 10. On computers with SSD hard drives, DF either crashes with the above-mentioned exception error when called within an open File Explorer window or gives infinite 'Error on Timer' dialog messages (e.g. in a 'save as' dialog when clicking on a directory in an open File Explorer window to copy the path). However, when called outside an open File Explorer window (e.g. from the desktop via the user-definable shortcut key), df works fine by opening a new File Explorer window.
